Home of Tito Concon, Tita Christine, Coleen and Marga
Cabanatuan City

We attended the blessing of Tito Concon and family's new home. The place is so big, so cozy, friendly and everything is literally clean and in order. I personally liked the "kubo" and the garden, you can just stay at the kubo and stare at the garden, you will feel so relaxed. We are so happy for them, they truly deserve this blessing.

More lovely get-together in your place Tito Concon!;)
God bless you and your family always!

My husband and I tried the Manila Bay Cruise last 4 July. This isn't entirely a date, it's partly "work-related." I am one of the committee members for the year-end party, we are thinking of having it in a yacht to have a different experience, we usually celebrate year-end parties in hotels, so if this cruise will take place, it's definitely new and something to look forward to. We also tried to look for yachts for rent, we found one company who provides this service, hopefully the service and food that they offer are good so we can have the party in their private yacht.

This cruise is a good experience for us, we were away from the busy city life for an hour and just relaxed throughout the cruise. What we didn't like in this particular cruise is that there's sort of an emcee/singer, we prefer that they just play good music on the background, no need for programs or live singing. But overall, it's good that we tried it and had a different way to spend our Saturday.

Here are some photos I've taken using my lomo camera, Golden Half Chelsea. Enjoy!;)

My husband prepared this breakfast for us, the very first in 9 months ;)

Nocturnal that he is, he usually sleeps at around 3am (earliest on average) or 5am (latest on average). This particular morning of 21 July, he was still up until past 5am because he helped a friend of ours to move out and transfer (just one unit apart from ours) some of their home appliances / furnitures. Since he can't sleep with an empty stomach (he will kill me for telling this...;)), he decided to cook some breakfast for both of us and waited until I woke up at 6am.

We really enjoyed this breakfast, it's been long since we eat breakfast together for obvious reasons ;) According to him, this breakfast is healthy and balanced ;) Is it? But for me it doesn't matter, the important thing is the "thought and effort" combined ;) Thanks much my baby! I hope this is not the first and the last ;)
*more "toasted bread, hotdog, egg, hashbrown, tomatoes and orange juice" to come!;)

11 June 2009

For our 8th month, our "monthsary pastry" is not something sweet. Since b.h. is not fond of sweets, I thought of having his favorite pastry, pizza!!

Happy monthsary baby! Life, whether sweet or salty, bitter or sour, will still be sweet as long as we're together... yikes... so mushy! ;p

Here's my song for you:

Do you hear me,
I’m talking to you
Across the water, across the deep blue ocean
Under the open sky, oh my, baby I’m trying

Boy I hear you in my dreams
I feel your whisper across the sea
I keep you with me in my heart
You make it easier when life gets hard

I’m lucky I’m in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Ooohh, ooooh, oooh, oooh,
Oooh ooh ooh ooh

They don’t know how long it takes
Waiting for a love like this
Every time we say goodbye
I wish we had one more kiss
I’ll wait for you I promise you, I will

I’m lucky I’m in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Lucky we’re in love in every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday

And so I’m sailing through the sea
To an island where we’ll meet
You’ll hear the music fill the air
I’ll put a flower in your hair

Though the breezes through trees
Move so pretty you’re all I see
As the world keeps spinning round
You hold me right here right now

I’m lucky I’m in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
I’m lucky we’re in love every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday

Ooohh, ooooh, oooh, oooh,Oooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

Jomark coined this expression and used it for our department's (OGC - Office of the General Counsel) summer outing invite. This year, it's my turn together with Ivy and RN to be the committee for summer outing and year end party. We are so grateful for the people who joined our outing, all efforts paid off because of their presence. We are also thankful for the wonderful weather, with some rainshowers, it made the experience more exciting. The place is great, it's a given, we just enjoyed the place and the time with our family and friends, it was really a "chill" time for all of us.

13-15 March 2009

My first time in Baguio was in April 2005, I was with my Zuellig friends back then. After 4 years, I was able to come back, now with my b. h. ;) We stayed at Green Valley Resort, the accommodation was provided by our generous Ninong Pabling and Tita Cherry, thanks again Ninong and Tita!;) We enjoyed our weekend get away, it's a combination of "liwaliw and relaxation."

Good thing, b. h. was in the mood to take pictures of me ;) but he wasn't in the mood to have his photo taken (and besides, I don't know how to use his camera so I just used my Chelsea to take his pics, mostly stolen) so most of the pictures here are only me... I should have entitled this post "Baguio and Ryah" ;)

My first take on lomo, I used Golden Half (Chelsea) for the first time in Baguio. I am very happy with the quality of the photos (thank God most pics are not blurred... hehe), I made the right choice on my very first lomo cam. ;) I am now looking forward to our next photoshoot.

just loving my Chelsea... and enjoying bonding moments with b. h. ;)

We celebrated b. h.'s 30th bday with the whole family, my momsy, daddy and sister Kris visited us in the afternoon, we had lunch together and right after lunch some of his closest buddies came to our home too. At dinner time, mommy, daddy, Jingky, Madja, Buvi and our little Julia came too, we had dinner at A Veneto and strolled around Greenbelt.

Happy happy bday my b. h. More blessings to come, more lovely, healthy and meaningful years to us!;)

March 11 equals 5th Monthsary

Aside from our usual celebration with a simple monthsary cake, I had a simple gift to my b. h. for this occasion. I gave him a lomo cam, I know that he wants this particular cam, the demekin. He was surprised when I handed him a gift that was fancily-wrapped, he got even more surprised to see that it was a demekin, it was sooo cute, much smaller than we expected but it was so worth it, especially when I saw the delight on my b.h.'s eyes, just priceless.;)

Pictures taken by demekin soon to be uploaded by b. h.;)

Oooppss, let me rephrase that.. not that I have wild dreams.. actually I seldom dream, and if I do, I'm fortunate if I remember it when I wake up.

February 13, 2009 is such a memorable day for me, not because it's Friday the 13th or I had a pre-Valentine date with my b. h. - I wish ;)

Most of my family and friends know that I'm an Audrey Hepburn(AH) fan. Last Saturday, 7 February, I received a text message from an officemate/dear friend/mentor about AH Film Festival in Rockwell from 11-15 February. I was so happy to learn about this event, not sure if this happens yearly, but I just didn't want to miss this chance. Thought of calling Rockwell to inquire about this but the next day, 8 February, I was able to check chuvaness.com and voila! the schedule of the movies to be shown for 5 days was there! So I emailed the link to friends who are AH fanatic but unfortunately, only one friend responded, but when I asked if she would like to come, she didn't reply anymore...but it's ok, I guess, she's not available.

I am 100% sure that my b. h.  would not come with me, aside from being busy, he's not the type who will watch AH movies. But he suggested that I ask another friend, actually, our newly found friend, Shervel. Thankfully, she was available and very willing to accompany me. Thanks so much Shervel!;)

I initially wanted to watch "Funny Face," one of my favorites, it was scheduled on 13 February, 7pm, but since it was traffic, we were a bit late. I wanted Shervel to be able to watch the movie from the very start, so we decided to watch the next movie instead, Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961 film, AH's portrayal of Holly Golightly as the naive, eccentric socialite is generally considered to be the actress' most memorable and identifiable role - Wikipedia). Of all AH movies that I watched (via vcd or dvd), 14 of them, it is only Breakfast At Tiffany's which I was not able to fully understand, can't remember why, maybe I was sleepy when I first watched it or tired. I am very happy that I finally understood this movie and now, it has become another favorite. ;) I guess, it takes a big screen for me to understand and appreciate it. ;)

I never thought(or even dreamt) that I can ever watch an Audrey Hepburn movie on big screen. That's why, this is definitely a celebrated, significant, happy experience for me!;)

It's the 11th and it means it's our monthsary!;)
It seldom happens that 11th falls on a weekend so
I'm specially happy that our 3rd month falls on a sunday. I was thinking of having a simple celebration, maybe lunch or dinner somewhere near, at Boni High St. or Serendra(my fave place in the area), but this didn't push through because I got sick! I had terrible colds/cough and fever... maybe due to the unusual cold weather...

Anyway, since we can't go out, and I can't go out to atleast buy a sweet goody, I checked our fridge if there's a pastry that will serve as our monthsary cake, thank goodness, we still have a fruitcake, it was a Christmas gift by my girl friend's boss. ;)
thanks KE, your gift was a savior! ;)

This monthsary's still happy though I was sick because my b.h. was there to take care of me...;)

I had spent new year's eve in Cabanatuan two or three times already but this is definitely more special because this is our first new year as jomarkryah ;)

2008 has blessed us with so much, there were many unforgettable, remarkable events, many weddings, many birthdays, many binyags, more friends... and I'm sure there are more to come this 2009! I'm so grateful to our dear Lord for everything He has given us.;)

All the best for all of us.
God will surely shower more blessings!

Reunion at Tita Edna's Residence
Tiongson Family plus Buencamino Family

The Tiongson family celebrates the traditional yearly reunion every 24th of December. Inay with her children and grandchildren had the reunion this year at Tita Edna's place, Tita Edna, one of Inay's children, was the party's hostess, cook and also the emcee.;) (She's not in any of the photos because she did not want to expose herself after having done all the preparation and cooking...;)

The highlight of this get together is the gift-giving, there's just so many gifts especially for the kids!;) I had a great time celebrating the Christmas eve with my new family ;) but I also miss my mom, dad and sister...

11 November 2008

For our first month, I just prepared for Jomark his favorite breakfast, actually one of his favorites, bacon and egg. ;) I also bought a really small sweet goody to serve as our 1st monthsary cake ;).

Thank you my b.h. for always waking up early in the morning to have breakfast with me.

More bacon and egg moments to come! ;)

Here's a lovely poem, shared by our dear friend Gillian, she read this as part of her "best wishes" speech during our wedding reception.;) Thanks much Gill!

Ever wonder why God gives us two?

A right hand to show the left what to do.

One ear to listen and one to hear

the problems of others,

their laughter and fears.

One eye to watch and one to behold

the beautiful treasures

that life has to hold.

One foot to travel and one to stand tall.

Two feet to land on if we should fall.

One man to stand by a woman's side;

One woman to cherish being his bride.

The love between partners

comes shining through

and that is the reason

God has made two.
